“Sorry that this post about our London Trip in Dec is really Sooooo late! :P”
Early in the morning, it was bright & sunny, but still freezing cold in London.
Today, we are visiting the infamous “Big Ben“! I’ve seen plenty of pictures of it from sites and books, i knew it was big.. but still i was quite overwhelmed how big it was, so much bigger than i expected, then how it looked like in books! :D and it’s quite amazing, how 150 years ago, they could build a structure that is so magnificently beautiful.
and there we also see the Palace of Westminster, and the London Eye.
the sky is so clear and in pretty blue :)
Further down the road, is the Westminster Abbey. We spent hours touring this place, but it was pretty interesting to listen to all the history and statues, tombs of many royals and famous figures, like William Shakespeare, Newton, etc. The church inside is really magnificently beautiful once again, not like any we’ve seen before. In fact, most churches are in Gothic architecture like this, since hundreds of years ago. The structure have never failed to wow-ed us.
We got hungry again, so picked one restaurant along the way and shared some soup and Fish & Chips, before we decide where to go next, using our tour book!
We reached the Trafalgar Square, where the National Musuem is. Again, time for us to be really “artistic”! We are in for so much ART! Entrance is free and all famous paintings are in there, so huge! We took hours even when we selectively quickly look at famous ones..
Yay, now, it’s time for shopping! :D
We went to Harrods, this season the building is wrapped with green lights as their theme this xmas is Wizard of Oz. We went inside grab some sourvenirs, nothing else fancy us, as the price are quite ridiculous..
After 8pm, the food in the food section were on sale. So we grabbed some weird and interesting snacks to bring back to the hotel.
It’s good that the apartment have almost everything, from fridge, to dish washer, washing machine, oven and microwave. We heated the snacks up, heated up the room, sit in the living room couch cosyly, watch tv and gobble all the food up together. :P
My favourite thing in this apartment is the heating metal rack in the toilet, which you can see in the picture! That Cool thing keeps our towel dry really fast and clothes warm before wearing them after shower on a cold cold day. haha!
End of the day, Bedtime and rest our sore legs and get ready for another day of fun! :D
